I'm about to pu...ok - so here is my question...
I'm about to publish through CreateSpace. They give me a free ISBN... and a year later - I've sold so many copies that I want to change how its distributed.

I can't? I'm locked into CreateSpace forever?

or... I can - but it will require creating a new edition and now I can pay the $99.

I guess my question is - when I get the free ISBN from CreateSpace - am I locked into their system with that book forever and all eternity?

Or do I just need to get a new ISBN number? and pay the $99 for it then?

And - can I just resubmit the same exact book and get a new ISBN number? or does there have to be changes done to it in order to get a new ISBN?

Thanks for answering these MULTIPLE questions! hahaha It's just that I'm about to create this account and I'm at the ISBN portion - and I'm stuck!

One more thing. yes... one more :)

Currently, I'm selling my book as a Kindle book on Amazon. so there was no need for an ISBN. And - I am selling the book in paperback through www.thebookpatch.com

I didn't need an ISBN there either - I don't really know why? People could just buy the book without an ISBN through their online store - and then when I was selling my books locally - I was selling the copies that I had - without the ISBN.

What if I wanted to continue to sell through Amazon (with the ISBN) AND continue to sell through thebookpatch.com (without the ISBN)?

Am I not allowed to do that?

Thanks!!!Joyful Lehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00570992549443199154noreply@blogger.com
